Sealed Air YMCA

Parkinson's Fitness Class

The Racine Family YMCA, in partnership with Aurora Rehabilitation Center, offers a fitness class that focuses on the needs of those with Parkinson's. Twice a week, they spend time on a treadmill to improve gait speed and balance. More time is spent on toning/flexibility with a focus on improving posture and balance. This class also infuses games into class time to challenge hand/eye coordination and have fun!

Senior Companion Program, Inc.

Senior Companion Program, Inc.

The Senior Companion Program is a ministry of the Racine Dominicans that provides services at no cost. It brings people together, usually seniors, by providing companionship with compassion. The program offers and encourages people to come together to share experiences, time and possibly friendship. The Senior Companion Program serves older adults in their homes, apartments, nursing homes or assisted living facilities. The Senior Companion Program is on a continuous search for good companions. If you know someone who would like to visit an elderly or homebound adult, please contact them!

Aurora Health Care Senior Resource Program

Senior Resource Program

The Senior Resource Program is provided to our community, funded by Aurora Health Care. The Senior Resource Coordinator is a registered nurse who assists physicians with their senior patients by providing them with information on services available in the community. They also assist seniors with exploring services they need to remain independent in their homes.

Ktown Transportation Inc.

Ktown Transportation

The mission of Ktown is to become the supplier of choice for common carrier transportation in Southern Wisconsin. Guests are frequently transported to and from club through the use of Ktown's services.

Foster Grandparent Program through Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc.

Foster Grandparent Program 

The Foster Grandparent Program, through Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc., connects generations. Building on a natural bond, the wisdom and experience of foster grandparents enrich the lives of children, adolescents, and young adults. Foster grandparents are role models, offering a stable, loving presence in a young person's lives.  They are friends who listen, read, and give time to children. They support and nurture students in schools, Head Start classrooms, and child care centers.

The Respite Care Association of Wisconsin (RCAW) supports and advocates for quality systems of respite care for Wisconsin families.  Their mission is to promote, support, and expand quality statewide respite care across the lifespan.  RCAW is a "resource and referral" agency which offers assistance in locating respite service in your area.

The Wisconsin Parkinson Association

The Wisconsin Parkinson Association

The Wisconsin Parkinson Association (WPA) provides information and resources about Parkinson disease to enhance public education and awareness of the disorder and to support people with Parkinson's and their families. WPA distributes materials to its members and to the community and hosts educational events for people with Parkinson's and personal and professional caregivers. 

When supplied with knowledge, acceptance, support, and determination, caregivers can do more than cope - they can remain in control of their life.
